An esthetician (also spelled aesthetician) is a professional who is trained and licensed in skin care, offering services such as facials, body work and other spa related treatments.
As a career esthetician I’ve been in the business since graduating from Arthur Angelo School in Providence, RI in 2001.
I’m currently the owner of Tranquility Day Spa, LLC in N. Providence, RI.
At this blog I’ll be sharing information for clients as well as future estheticians. Whether you’re interested in how to become an esthetician including the required schooling, licensing, training and day to day activities of the work involved, or simply want to know more about esthetics products and services, you’ll find it all here.
As a business owner I’ve worked on hundreds of clients over the years and used a wide variety of products, tools of the trade and specialized equipment. I’ve also employed estheticians, massage therapists, manicurists and other salon experts. I’ll share information on all that as well as salary and other payments day spa personnel receive.
If you want to become an esthetician, or start a day spa or salon business, you’ll find lots of valuable inside information here. I invite you to post comments, question and suggestions to make this an active forum.
Life as an esthetician is fun, rewarding and fulfilling. If you enjoy helping others to look and feel their best, it may be the perfect profession for you as well. It can also lead you to other healing areas I’ve personally discovered interest in, including reiki, which is a healing art that is becoming more mainstream, yoga, and more.
I hope you enjoy your time at EstheticianAdvisor.com as much as my clients enjoy their time spent at Tranquility Day Spa!
